January 19, 2020 - Johnny Scott Bags Runner-up Finish in Wild West Shootout Finale
On Wednesday evening for the third round of the Wild West Shootout at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona), Stormy edged his way into the A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat while Johnny came in 5th. Recording a 2nd place finish in his B-Main behind Frank Heckenast Jr., Johnny locked into the 19th-starting position for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Johnny passed seven spots to place 12th while Stormy dropped two spots to register a 13th place outing.

For the fourth round on Friday afternoon, Johnny scored a 3rd place finish in his heat while Stormy grabbed the 4th and final transfer spot. Johnny improved five spots in the 25-lap feature to place 6th while Stormy passed seven cars to reel in a 9th place finish.

The following night, Johnny followed up the second fastest lap in his time trial group with an 8-lap heat race victory. Stormy posted a 4th place finish in his heat which positioned him 14th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Stormy gained seven positions to notch a 7th place finish. Starting in second, Johnny suffered a flat left-rear tire while running in 5th on lap 27 that prevented him from finishing.

On Sunday for the final night of the 14th annual Wild West Shootout, Johnny laid down the fastest lap in his time trial group before capturing an 8-lap heat race victory. Stormy was an early retiree from his heat on the opening lap sending him into the B-Main. Needing a 4th place finish or better to make the $15,000-to-win finale, Stormy fell one spot short with a 5th place finish. Receiving the third-starting position for the A-Main, Johnny Scott gained one spot in the 50-lapper to place 2nd behind Brandon Sheppard with Ricky Weiss, Brian Shirley, and Bobby Pierce rounding out the Top-5. January 12, 2020 - Johnny Scott Lands Top-10 Finish in Wild West Shootout Opener at Arizona Speedway
Stormy and Johnny Scott were back in action on Saturday evening at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) for the 14th annual Wild West Shootout. In a stout field of 46 Super Late Models, both Stormy and Johnny grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spots in their heat race locking them into the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Returning on Sunday afternoon, Johnny followed up the third fastest lap in his time trial group with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Brian Birkhofer. Stormy came in 5th in his heat transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place 4th or better, Stormy streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory. With $5,000 on the line, Johnny lost a left-rear tire on the 11th lap that forced him to retire early. Stormy dropped one spot in the 40-lap affair to place 19th.

January 5, 2020 - Scott Brothers Begin 2020 Season with Battle at the Border
On Friday night Stormy and Johnny Scott visited to Vado Speedway Park (Vado, New Mexico) kicking off the 2020 season with the inaugural Battle at the Border. Drawing 42 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries for the three-day event, Johnny came in 5th in his heat while Stormy posted a 6th place finish. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in their B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win opening night feature, Stormy streaked to a 10-lap consolation victory while Johnny grabbed the 3rd and final transfer position. Stormy passed three cars to place 15th while Johnny came in 20th.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win A-Main, Stormy came in eighth fastest in his group before placing 3rd in his heat. Johnny followed up an 8th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place finish in his consolation event. Breaking into the Top-10, Stormy improved three spots to reel in a 8th place finish. For the final round of the Battle at the Border on Sunday, Stormy grabbed the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat which positioned him 13th on the starting grid for the finale. Johnny followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 5th place finish in his consolation event, bringing an early end to his weekend. With $15,000 on the line, Stormy Scott passed one car in the 75-lap affair to place 12th.
