Scott Brothers Begin 2020 Season with Battle at the Border

On Friday night Stormy and Johnny Scott visited to Vado Speedway Park (Vado, New Mexico) kicking off the 2020 season with the inaugural Battle at the Border. Drawing 42 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries for the three-day event, Johnny came in 5th in his heat while Stormy posted a 6th place finish. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in their B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win opening night feature, Stormy streaked to a 10-lap consolation victory while Johnny grabbed the 3rd and final transfer position. Stormy passed three cars to place 15th while Johnny came in 20th.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win A-Main, Stormy came in eighth fastest in his group before placing 3rd in his heat. Johnny followed up an 8th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place finish in his consolation event. Breaking into the Top-10, Stormy improved three spots to reel in a 8th place finish. For the final round of the Battle at the Border on Sunday, Stormy grabbed the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat which positioned him 13th on the starting grid for the finale. Johnny followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 5th place finish in his consolation event, bringing an early end to his weekend. With $15,000 on the line, Stormy Scott passed one car in the 75-lap affair to place 12th.
