Stormy Scott follows Lucas Oil to Peach State
After Mother Nature wiped out the second attempt of the Mountain Moonshine Classic on Friday at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.), Stormy Scott returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) for the Dixie Shootout. Following the third fastest qualifying effort, Stormy posted a second-place finish in his heat race, which came behind Jonathan Davenport. Fading outside the Top-10 in the 50-lap feature, Scott logged a 15th-place outing.
For the Rome Showdown on Sunday at Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.), Scott dropped two spots in his heat race to finish eighth. Rolling off 23rd for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Stormy was an early retiree from the 40-lapper with six circuits remaining.
