Pair of 12th-place finishes in Clash at the Mag
Thursday night found Stormy Scott in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the 13th annual Optima Batteries Clash at the Mag. With 44 Late Models on hand for the event sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Stormy edged his way into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature with the fourth-and-transfer spot in his heat. Improving two spots in the 25-lap affair, Scott recorded a 12th-place finish.
With severe weather set to hit the area on Saturday afternoon, officials scratched Friday’s final preliminary feature and shifted the $12,000-to-win Clash at the Mag to Friday evening. Following the seventh fastest time in his group, Scott scored a fourth-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 13th on the starting grid for the finale. Clawing forward one spot, Stormy recorded a 12th-place finish.
