Stormy Scott attends Truck Country 50 at 300 Raceway; Johnny finishes fourth at Deer Creek
Stormy Scott was one of 28 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries on hand at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) on Friday night for the Truck Country 50. With a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Mike Marlar positioning him eighth on the starting grid for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Stormy was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on the fourth lap.
Persistent rain overnight postponed Saturday’s LOLMDS event at 34 Raceway (Burlington, Iowa) to July 15th.
With Stormy sitting on idle on Saturday, Johnny Scott traveled to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) to get his No. 1st Modified dialed in for the upcoming United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) weekend. Following a third-place finish in his heat, Johnny passed four cars in the 25-lap feature to come in fourth. He trailed Dustin Sorensen, Rodney Sanders, and Jason Cummins to the checkers with J.T. Wasmund coming in fifth.
