Stormy Scott finishes fifth in Lucas Oil stop at Port Royal Speedway
Saturday night saw Stormy Scott return to action at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) for the Red Nininger Tribute. Drawing 42 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Stormy came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a fifth-place finish. Streaking to a 10-lap consolation victory, Scott locked into the 17th-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Fading one spot in the 50-lap affair, Stormy logged an 18th-place outing.
On Sunday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the River Valley 40, Scott followed up the third fastest time in his qualifying group with a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Brandon Sheppard. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Stormy jumped up one spot to place fifth, trailing Jonathan Davenport, Shane Clanton, Brandon Sheppard, and Chris Ferguson to the checkers.
