Kicking the 2021 season with the 15th annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout, Stormy and Johnny Scott invaded FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Ariz.) on Saturday afternoon for the first round of the six-race miniseries. Picking up a 12-lap consolation victory over Chad Simpson, Stormy locked into the 20th-starting position for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Stormy improved nine spots to place 11th while Johnny jumped up one position to finish 14th.
For another $5,000-to-win A-Main on Sunday afternoon, Stormy followed up the fourth fastest lap in his time trial group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Brian Shirley. Johnny finished fourth in his heat race before capturing a B-Main win. Hanging onto a Top-10 finish in the 40-lap feature, Stormy faded three spots to finish 10th while Johnny passed nine cars to place 11th. (Mike Ruefer photo)
