Stormy Scott shows speed in Spring Nationals event at I-75 Raceway
Spending Easter weekend on the road, Stormy Scott invaded I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon to compete with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals.
With 39 Late Models on the grounds, Scott laid down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group before leading flag-to-flag in the final heat race. Starting from outside the second-row in the $10,053-to-win feature, Stormy was running inside the Top-5 when he slowed down the backstretch with mechanical issues. He was scored 21st in the running order.
