Scott scores 13th-place finish in Topless prelim at Batesville
After helping out a Category 5 Race Cars client last weekend at the North-South 100, Stormy Scott returned to action on Friday evening at Batesville Motor (AR) Speedway for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Topless 100.
Aboard his Rancho Milagro Racing No. 2s Late Model, Stormy drove into Friday’s preliminary feature with a fifth-to-third showing in his heat race. Gunning for the $5,000 payday in the opener, Scott gained two positions in the 30-lapper to finish 13th.
Locked on the seventh row for Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win Topless 100 finale, Scott was an early retiree from the 100-lap affair after slowing on lap 35.
